Joe and Lolita Bader are Advanced Master Beekeepers in the Texas Apiary Inspection Service Master Beekeeping program. We have been keeping bees since 2013. We personally own two properties we have built ag valuation (exemption) history using beekeeping. We provide service to other landowners who use bees for ag.
What we offer
We have been offering this service for 4 years to over 100 clients and we have had 100% success at getting our clients qualified for agriculture valuation.
As part of our leasing service, we provide the bees, hive boxes and all equipment to qualify for agricultural special valuation. As you may be aware, commercial beekeepers have been losing 30 to 40 percent of their bees each year to colony collapse disorder, varroa destructor mites and other causes. Any colony loss is our responsibility and we will replace lost colonies with new colonies when they are available, usually in the spring and early summer.
Our service to you also includes regularly feeding and checking the bees. We provide integrated pest management for mites, small hive beetles and wax moths and we treat bees with organic controls. We do not use chemical pesticides in the hives.
We can help you with advice and information if you decide to protest your taxes. (We strongly suggest that you protest every year. The appraisal district also suggests protesting.) We have accumulated a good deal of information to help you get the best production value.
You get peace of mind knowing that you are protected with a 1 million dollar insurance policy for anything related to beekeeping on your property. Even though claims on beekeeping are uncommon, it is nice to know you are covered.
